Alert message sent 07/09/2020 11:26:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

There has been an increase in reported thefts and attempted thefts from garages and sheds in the Hurst area.

If you have any information, CCTV, video doorbell or Dashcam footage you feel may relate to this, please report online or call 101.

Never leave your garage or shed door unlocked if you are not around.

Do not give thieves the opportunity or the tools to commit a crime. Lock everything away securely. Tools can be locked inside a locker or box or secured with a chain.

Secure your bike to the ground or a lockable stand within a locked shed or garage.

Property marking your items is advisable and some tools can be painted with your name or postcode. Forensic marking is also an option and you can register some items on the Immobilise website for free. For more information visit
