Appeal for witnesses following indecent exposure

Alert message sent 23/07/2020 16:33:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of indecent exposure in Bracknell.

At around 8pm on Saturday (18/7), the victim, a 14 year-old girl, was exiting the underpass which leads to South Hill Road, close to Bracknell Leisure Centre, when a man exposed himself to her. The man then ran off into the underpass.

Prior to the incident, the victim and her friend were approached by the same man on Opladen Way, where he spoke to them before walking off.

The offender is described as a white man, between 25 and 40 years-old, with a thin build. He had light coloured eyes, short strawberry blonde hair and a scruffy strawberry blonde beard. He was wearing a white baggy t-shirt, blue and white chequered shorts and bright orange trainers with white lines at the bottom. He also had facial scarring and potentially had some teeth missing.

Investigating officer PC Sarah Puksis, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim, who is only 14 years-old and was alone at the time of the incident.

“I am appealing to anyone who recognises the description of the offender, or who has any other information that may help with my investigation, to get in touch.

“You can contact us using our online reporting form, quoting reference number 43200220341, or by calling the non-emergency number 101.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
