Witness appeal following burglary in Hurst

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Tape Lane, Hurst, Reading.

At around 6.20pm on Thursday 11 June, the victim, a woman in her eighties, was at home when offenders went to the rear of her property and smashed the glass of her back patio doors.
The offenders left when they heard the victim in the house.
No property was stolen and the victim was uninjured.

The offenders are described as two men, wearing dark clothing with hooded tops. They were travelling in a dark grey hatchback.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Dennis Hicks, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim and I am appealing to anyone who has any information about this incident to come forward.
