Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Over the last few weeks there has been an increase in the number of bicycle thefts in Carterton, we have had thefts from Northholt Road, Bovingdon Road and two from Shillbrook Avenue.
We regularly find abandoned bicycles in Carterton but being unable to identify them can not always return them.
To protect your bicycle always keep it locked, take a picture of it and record the serial number which is located on the frame below the pedals, if possible engrave your post code on the frame.
We will be holding a bicycle marking event in the future when everything has returned to the new normal.
If you want any further advice or want to speak to a member of the team call 101 and leave a message for us?
