Crime Prevention Advice

Alert message sent 30/09/2018 13:13:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Hello all

Just some crime prevention advice to reduce your chances of becoming a victim of crime:

-Ensure that your sheds are secured with a heavy padlock. Often in burglaries offenders will use tools taken from the shed of the victim to gain entry.
- If you do not wish cold callers to attend your property, you can receive stickers from your local police station that can be placed on your door to notify that they are not welcome.
-CCTV is an option if you wish. However, if you do choose to do this, ensure that it only covers your property and that it does not encroach on public or others territory.
-If you're a workman by trade and have tools in your van, please ensure that you secure your van each time. Many thefts occur when people leave their vans unlocked when transporting tools.

Many thanks
