Appeal for witnesses following a burglary in Wildridings Bracknell.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Bracknell.
Between 9.30am and 8.00pm on Tuesday 11 September 2018 offenders gained entry to a ground floor flat on the Crowthorne Road, Wildridings, Bracknell.
Once inside offenders made a very messy search of the bedroom and stole items including wristwatches and jewellery.
Investigating officer PC 2156 Abbie Ward of the Crime Investigation Hub based at Loddon Valley police station said “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have information to call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101, quoting reference 43180278565.
If you don’t want to speak directly to police you can contact the independent charity “Crimestoppers” anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are asked for, and your call is not traced or recorded, and you wouldn’t be expected to attend court.
At this time of year burglars like easy targets such as homes that are left in total darkness in the early evenings. You can reduce the risk of them targeting your home when you’re not in by using a simple timer switch to turn a lamp or two on as it gets dark.
