Subject: Appeal for witnesses following a burglary in, Bracknell.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Martins Heron, Bracknell.

At 1.58pm on Thursday 19 July 2018 offenders gained entry to a house in Setley Way. Access was gained into the rear garden where the offenders then smashed a rear window using a brick, opening a large window and climbing in.

Once inside the offenders have gone straight upstairs activating the intruder alarm, they searched two bedrooms finding and stealing cash and watches before making off, having an easy exit as a key had been left in the rear door.

Investigating officer C7224 Vicky Burgess said “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101, quoting reference 43180220599.

If you don’t want to speak directly to police you can contact “Crimestoppers” anonymously and free of charge on 0800 555 111. It is an independent charity, no personal details will be asked for, calls are not recorded or traced and you would not have to go to court.

Keep side gates closed and locked  whilst your home is unoccupied, and during the current hot weather ensure windows  and doors are not left open  whilst your home is left unoccupied, and preferably lock all ground floor and accessible windows, and remove keys from the inside of doors.
