Find out about issues that could affect your street
Wycombe District Neighbourhood Watch Association and the Hughenden Parish Street Association will be raising awareness and discussing the effects of cons & scams and doorstep crime followed by a question and answer session.
Find out how to combat these issues and be involved in your community.
The meeting will be held on Friday, 9th June, from 2.00pm at:
Great Kingshill Village Hall,
Missenden Road (A4128),
Great Kingshill,
HP15 6DW.
Please note that there is limited parking in New Road for the Village Hall, but parking is available in nearby roads and there is a public car park in Common Road HP15 6EZ.
At the meeting, you will hear about cyber-crime and will also hear from Geoff Pegg, Director of Operations of Wycombe District Neighbourhood Watch Association, about bogus phone calls, and scams through the post.
An outline on how Street Associations can help members of their community come together to address these issues and to look out for one another with a particular emphasis on the vulnerable members of our community will be made by:
  • Korinne Leney, Area Manager, Community Engagement & Development, Bucks County Council.
  • Chris Holden, Senior Trading Standards Officer, Bucks & Surrey Trading Standards.
Those Interested in becoming a Street Association member will be able to pick up a free member resource pack at the event.
